Located on the eastern seaboard of Gulf of Thailand, not far from the border with Cambodia and 310 km from Bangkok, Koh Chang is one of the favourite yacht cruises destinations in south-eastern Asia. The name, meaning „Elephant Island” in the Thai language, comes from its form in the shape of an elephant’s head. It is also connected with the fact that the island’s most famous attraction is elephant trekking in the area of Ban Kwan. The best landscape attractions of Koh Chang are definitely its numerous waterfalls hidden in a juicy green jungle. An absolute must-see in Thailand!

While cruising along the central part of Thai coast, be sure not to miss out on the beautiful Koh Pha Ngan island, just a few kilometres north from the Koh Samui. Unlike most of the other Thai islands, Koh Pha Ngan is rather flat with the highest point being Khao Ra, 630 m. This is definitely a place to go if you’d like to party – the islands hosts many beach parties on the regular basis, most famous of which seems to be the Full Moon Party held every month on the Hat Rin Nok Beach.
